Course Overview:
Into the Light: Recognizing and Eliminating Sexual Harassment from the Workplace

Fifty thousand dollars for inappropriate behavior - can your company afford to write that check? More importantly why should you have to write that check – especially for inappropriate behavior? With a strong, widely publicized zero tolerance Sexual Harassment policy, proactive training and reinforcement in the workplace, multiple avenues for reporting claims and prompt action on any claims made, you can avoid this costly pit many companies experience. In June of 1998 the U.S. Supreme Court issued this ruling, “To defend themselves employers would have to show that they exercised reasonable care to prevent or promptly correct any sexually harassing behavior.” The courts have also ruled that strong training programs are one component of exercising reasonable care.
